Since you already know the path that has started me on this journey, I thought I would give you some tidbits of my “formative” years. I was raised in a variety of places with a wonderful family who supported me and still does in everything that I do. I am half Greek, so expect a lot of Greek references in my posts. My other half is primarily French and English with the familial claim to fame being related to the author, Geoffrey Chaucer, who wrote, A Cantebury Tale, and Edward Putnam, who signed all of the death warrants for the Salem witches. I’m assuming that this new path I’m on is karmic repayment for Mr. Putnam’s sins.
I have been a medic in the Air Force for 22 years and have lived a life of following rules and regulations filled with lots of responsibility and boy, am I exhausted. I am retiring from the Air Force in the near future and cannot wait to wear another color other than camouflage. Is camouflage really a color? What are the “in” trends now and do they include combat boots? I just don’t know anymore.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in History so expect some historical lessons thrown into my posts for good measure.
I am married to a phenomenal man, who has stuck by my side despite all my craziness, for many years. I have an awesome son, who not only does me proud in everything he does but also seems to have inherited my love of classic 80′s rock and fashion. I’d hate to tell him that his generation is not responsible for that style.
Let’s not forget the four footed member of our family, my dog, who I swear listens and understands everything I say to him.
I don’t know for sure what I will do when I grow up but I do know that my life so far has been one hell of a ride and I expect it to just keep getting better. Blessed Be and Namaste.
